New Delhi, June 16 (NationPress) An Air India flight traveling from Hong Kong to Delhi had to return mid-flight on Monday after the pilot detected a potential technical concern.
The aircraft, identified as a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, had already taken off from Hong Kong and was en route to Delhi when the issue was identified, as per sources.
Fortunately, the flight managed a safe landing back in Hong Kong, and no injuries have been reported. The specific nature of the technical problem has yet to be revealed.
This occurrence arises amidst ongoing challenges in the Indian aviation sector, particularly following the devastating crash of another Air India flight the previous week.
The earlier incident involved a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that was departing from Ahmedabad to London's Gatwick airport. Tragically, the aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff, colliding with a medical hostel at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
