Mumbai, Jan 28 (NationPress) The tragic loss of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, in a plane crash on Wednesday morning has profoundly impacted the political landscape of the state. Former Chief Minister and BJP MP Narayan Rane expressed his condolences, stating, “With the passing of Ajit Dada, Maharashtra has lost a brave and capable leader. Throughout his political journey, he faced numerous challenges yet remained a decisive figure who consistently understood the struggles of the common person.”

Rane elaborated on Ajit Pawar's approach to leadership, remarking, “Dada prioritized action over empty rhetoric. He never shied away from his duties and was always eager to address people's concerns. His absence has left a significant gap in public life. During this difficult time, I extend my sympathies to his family and pray for their strength to endure this loss.”

Former Maharashtra minister Pravin Bhosale remarked, “Maharashtra’s 'Man of Development' is no longer with us. The state has suffered the loss of a competent leader, which is deeply personal for me.”

Bhosale continued, “Ajit Pawar was more than just a political associate; he was a family friend. He bridged the gap between Sharad Pawar and myself, always supporting my political endeavors. Today, I mourn the loss of a dear companion.”

He also underscored Ajit Pawar's contributions to the progress of Sindhudurg district, stating, “Ajit had the potential to ascend to the Chief Minister role, but fate intervened. The void left by his passing is unfillable. May such a talented leader rest in peace.”

The passing of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has created a significant void in Maharashtra's political arena, noted former Minister and MLA Deepak Kesarkar. He emphasized that Ajit Dada was a forthright and effective administrator, whose bluntness in communication was paired with immense kindness and a genuine desire to serve the public.

Reflecting on their past, Kesarkar shared, “We had a close relationship during my time in the NCP. I was part of the delegation that proposed Dada’s name for Chief Minister. He encouraged me to remain in the party, and his affection will always remain in my heart.”

Kesarkar praised Ajit Pawar's strict economic discipline, recalling, “As Finance Minister, he entrusted me with presenting the budget in the Legislative Council. He was never afraid to make hard choices and acknowledged my contributions while I represented the party's position from Assam.”

Maharashtra Minister Pankaja Munde lamented, “Dada, you shouldn't have departed this way! Your absence weighs heavily on us... You will forever be remembered. Our shared journeys and discussions were invaluable. Your political acumen and humor brought joy, even amidst blunt speeches. Your departure has left the workers in tears; Maharashtra has lost an extraordinary leader.”

He was respected as a man of his word, and it is hard to fathom that this people's champion, who tirelessly labored for the community, is no longer with us.
