New Delhi, Sep 16 (NationPress) As the nation prepares to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday on Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah shared a touching story from his formative days in Gujarat politics, illustrating the Prime Minister's timeless principle of prioritizing BJP workers above his own needs.
In a video shared on the social media platform X through the widely followed account 'My Modi Story', Union Minister Shah recounted an incident from a trip to Rajkot where PM Modi, at that time a party worker, imparted a vital lesson in organizational life.
"On one of my journeys from Ahmedabad to Rajkot with Modiji, we took a break at a roadside dhaba managed by one of our karyakartas (BJP workers). It was around 8:30 p.m., and we were thrilled to enjoy a meal at the party worker's establishment. However, Modiji opted for just some fruits and wafers," he remembered.
On the return journey, Union Minister Shah realized that PM Modi had not paused for his own nourishment but had done so for the BJP workers with him to enjoy a fulfilling meal at the dhaba.
"That day, I learned that Modiji consistently prioritizes his karyakartas over himself. He never vocalized this, but through such actions, he imparted invaluable lessons to us," he expressed.
Describing trust, belonging, and dedication as the "essence of an organization", Union Minister Shah underscored how these principles characterize PM Modi's leadership style.
"This lesson from him (PM Modi) has become a crucial aspect of my life. This is Modiji's most significant teaching -- that within an organization, one must always prioritize the welfare of party workers before personal interests," he stated.
Union Minister Shah noted that such gestures invigorate and motivate the party cadre.
"Often, without uttering a word, Modiji has shown us the true meaning of leadership," he remarked.
As Prime Minister Modi approaches his 75th birthday on Wednesday, the BJP plans to commemorate the occasion with various welfare initiatives and outreach programs across the nation.
