Mumbai, Feb 11 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Aparshakti Khurana is gearing up for his debut in Tamil cinema with "ROOT: Running Out Of Time".

Discussing his experience working in a language he is not fully comfortable with, Aparshakti expressed that acting in a language one doesn’t think in is quite challenging.

He mentioned, “I viewed the rushes from a web series directed by Sooriyaprathap sir, and it seemed promising. That’s when I chose to collaborate with him.”

Reflecting on the challenges of performing in a Kollywood film, the 'Dangal' star remarked, “It’s tough to portray emotions in a language that doesn’t come naturally to you.”

He shared his method of thinking in English, translating his thoughts, and then executing the performance.

“This process alters your spontaneous reactions,” Aparshakti noted, adding, “Nevertheless, we conducted numerous workshops to grasp the language we were entering.”

He also highlighted the expanding acceptance of films among audiences, regardless of language.

Excited about the diminishing lines between different film industries and artists working across various languages, Aparshakti stated, “We all reside in India, and as audiences embrace diverse languages and cinema, why shouldn’t artists from one background be cast in another? It’s a thrilling experience for actors, writers, directors, and audiences alike, and I’m eager to explore more languages in my work.”

He described the process of making 'ROOT' as an enriching filmmaking experience.

“Prior to ROOT, I had a few Tamil scripts presented to me, but discussions didn’t advance. It’s wonderful to collaborate with such a talented cast and crew. We’ve created a film that we are all immensely proud of. It’s distinctly different from my previous work. I’m already delving into another Tamil script,” the 'Stree' actor concluded.

ROOT, written and directed by Sooriyaprathap S, features Gautham Ram Karthik in a pivotal role, along with Narain, Bhavya Trikha, Y Gee Mahendra, Pavni Reddy, Linga, and RJ Anandhi in the ensemble cast.
