What Are the Key Features of Arunachal's ‘State Youth Policy 2025’?

Itanagar, Aug 8 (NationPress) The government of Arunachal Pradesh introduced the ‘State Youth Policy 2025’ aimed at achieving nine Youth Development Goals (YDGs), which include quality education and sustainable job opportunities, as confirmed by officials.

An official from the Chief Minister’s Office revealed that during a Cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, several transformative decisions were made to empower the youth, fortify the social security network, enhance education, and reform recruitment procedures across various departments.

The ‘State Youth Policy 2025’ will foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill development, promoting healthy lifestyles and overall well-being, while also strengthening youth leadership and civic participation. This initiative aims to unlock creative potential through arts, culture, and sports, positioning Arunachal Pradesh as a leading hub for sports and adventure activities.

The policy emphasizes the importance of cultural heritage and biodiversity, striving to create an inclusive, safe, and equitable society for the youth, according to the official statement.

This policy envisions collaboration among all stakeholders, including government departments, NGOs, CBOs, and youth organizations. In a significant reform to social welfare, the Cabinet approved relaxations under the Chief Minister Disability Pension component of the Chief Minister Social Security Scheme (CMSSS).

Now, individuals with disabilities, irrespective of age, can benefit from the scheme. The Cabinet also endorsed proposals for the establishment of teaching and non-teaching staff in government colleges.

Additionally, the Cabinet approved the Arunachal Pradesh Arun Parivar Patra Authority Rules 2025 to ensure uniformity in procedures and operational transparency for all involved parties.

These rules are designed to enforce data protection and consent norms effectively while maintaining public confidence in the system's transparency and fairness.

During the meeting, the Cabinet was also informed about the upcoming inauguration of the new court building for the Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench, set for August 10.

This new court building signifies a new chapter in delivering efficient and prompt justice for the residents of Arunachal Pradesh.

The collective decisions made by the state Cabinet reaffirm the government's dedication to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, academic excellence, and transparent administrative reforms.
