Mumbai, March 18 (NationPress) Actress Avika Gor is excited to be featured in the upcoming film “Shanmukha”, expressing that she has always aspired to be part of a devotional thriller film.

“Shanmukha”, set for a theatrical premiere on March 21, showcases Avika in a vibrant, energetic role, filled with gripping drama and dynamic action sequences.

Sharing her enthusiasm, she remarked: “This film provided me with the opportunity to delve into something entirely new. It’s packed with drama, battles, and a fresh energy that I’ve yet to explore.”

“I’ve consistently been attracted to robust, character-driven roles, but Shanmukha enabled me to take on a larger-than-life character. Furthermore, I’ve always dreamed of participating in a devotional thriller, and this project is genuinely exceptional,” Avika stated.

Directed by Shanmugam Sappani, “Shanmukha” features Aadi Saikumar as an investigative officer, with the film enhanced by the impactful music of KGF fame Ravi Basrur.

Discussing her co-star and the filmmaking team, Avika mentioned: “Aadi is a fantastic co-actor, and collaborating with Ravi Basrur has been a dream realized. This film has pushed my boundaries, and I eagerly anticipate the audience’s reaction.”

Avika gained recognition for her portrayal of Anandi in Balika Vadhu, earning the Rajiv Gandhi Award in 2009. She later played Roli in Sasural Simar Ka. Her Telugu film debut was with Uyyala Jampala in 2013.

The actress made her foray into commercial cinema with 1920: Horrors of the Heart, directed by Krishna Bhatt and produced by Vikram Bhatt. This marks the fifth installment of the 1920 film series.

On the film front, the 27-year-old actress was recently seen in “Bloody Ishq” in 2024, directed by Vikram Bhatt. The horror thriller also features Vardhan Puri, the grandson of the late star Amrish Puri.
