Patna, May 5 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap with a grand event on May 9 at Bapu Auditorium in Patna.
The celebration, named ‘Rana Bhama Sammelan’, is scheduled to commence at 11:30 AM.
According to PHED Minister Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, the event will feature Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as the chief guest, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will join the gathering through video conferencing.
Prominent BJP personalities, including state chief Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, along with other senior leaders, will also be in attendance.
Bablu stated, "BJP honors the birth anniversaries of significant figures who have shaped our nation, and Maharana Pratap epitomizes valor and defiance.”
When questioned about the caste-based census, Bablu acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative.
“The caste census will not only enumerate the population of each community but will also evaluate their economic conditions to facilitate informed policymaking. This is a landmark decision, particularly advantageous for Bihar, showcasing the Prime Minister’s commitment to inclusive development,” Bablu explained.
He criticized opposition parties for allegedly attempting to take credit for the census initiative.
“While some are celebrating and setting off fireworks, they accomplished nothing during their tenure at the Center. Now they are pretending to lead,” he remarked.
On the topic of reservations in the private sector, Bablu asserted, “We cannot mandate anything for private firms. They operate independently and can make their own choices.”
In response to Tejashwi Yadav's comments labeling Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a 'tired leader', Bablu sharply countered: “Bihar enjoys a Sushashan (good governance) administration. The populace does not wish to revert to the Jungle Raj era. The NDA is robust, and we are optimistic about securing more than 225 seats. The RJD won’t even reach double digits,” he declared.
