Amaravati, Oct 1 (NationPress) Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval of four new Kendriya Vidyalayas in the state.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by Prime Minister Modi, has recently sanctioned the establishment of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas across the nation under the Civil sector.
Naidu shared on X that Andhra Pradesh will benefit from the addition of four new Kendriya Vidyalayas.
The approved locations for these new KVs in Andhra Pradesh include: Mangasamudram (Chittoor), Bairuganipalle (Kuppam Mandal, Chittoor), Palasa (Srikakulam), and Sakhamuru (Amaravati).
Moreover, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G. Kishan Reddy, also expressed his thanks to Prime Minister Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the approval of four KVs in Telangana.
He highlighted the Government of India’s ongoing commitment to enhancing education in Telangana over the past eleven years.
“Today, four additional Kendriya Vidyalayas have been approved alongside the existing 35, enhancing quality primary and secondary education in remote areas,” he stated.
The new KVs will be set up in Bhadradri Kothagudem district headquarters, Mulugu district headquarters, Jagityala district (Jagityala Rural Mandal-Chelgal), and Wanaparthi district (Nagavaram Sivar).
Kishan Reddy noted that Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mulugu districts have experienced challenges due to years of left-wing extremism. The expansion of KVs to these areas will provide local children with new opportunities for development and success.
The Union Minister also mentioned that the Central Government has allocated Rs 400 crore for over 800 PM-SHRI Schools within the last two years, the highest allocation in India. Additionally, Rs 2,000 crore has been designated under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and around Rs 1,000 crore for Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University in Mulugu.
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay, also expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister, Education Minister, and Union Cabinet for approving four KVs for Telangana, labeling it a significant advancement for education in the region.
With the addition of these new institutions, the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas will enhance the delivery of quality education to remote areas of the state.
