The announcement of the series came during Netflix’s Slate Reveal. Chitrangda shared insights about her character, her collaboration with Neeraj Pandey, and why this venture feels like a return home.
She expressed: “This marks my first web series. It’s my entry into the OTT realm, especially on Netflix—it's a significant milestone! Collaborating with Neeraj Pandey is a dream come true, and given the immense success of ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter’, being part of ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’ is truly surreal.”
The actress mentioned that it's been quite a while since she engaged in a genre like this.

Two years later, the second part was released. This standalone sequel to Housefull is also an uncredited adaptation of the 1998 Malayalam film “Mattupetti Machan.” The first two installments were directed by Sajid Khan.
The third and fourth parts were helmed by Farhad Samji, while the fifth installment, Housefull 5, is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The fifth film also features Fardeen Khan, Pooja Hegde, and Riteish.
