Jaipur, Oct 15 (NationPress) Following the tragic bus fire in Jaisalmer that resulted in the loss of 20 lives, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has decided to postpone his planned campaign in Bihar on Wednesday.
In response to this heartbreaking incident, the CM took immediate action, focusing on relief and rescue operations while issuing urgent directives to officials and ministers.
On the same day, Chief Minister Sharma reached out to public representatives and BJP workers in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur, encouraging them to lend support to the affected families and assist with ongoing relief efforts.
He instructed the ministers responsible for these districts and administrative officers to stay vigilant.
Cabinet Minister Madan Dilawar was directed to travel to Jodhpur to oversee medical care for those injured. The Chief Minister personally visited the families of victims, attentively listening to their concerns late Tuesday night.
During his visit, the CM assessed the condition of the injured at the hospital, reviewing detailed medical reports and ensuring the provision of enhanced medical care. He specifically checked on the availability of ventilators, oxygen support, ICU beds, and essential medicines, while also deploying a dedicated medical team for continuous care and establishing a green corridor between Jaisalmer and Jodhpur for swift transfer of the injured.
Additionally, CM Sharma ensured that the family members of those injured would receive accommodation, meals, and necessary support at the hospital.
According to officials, the CM hurried to Jaisalmer on Tuesday to assess the gravity of the incident. Upon learning of the bus fire while traveling from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur, he interrupted an ongoing meeting concerning the Cooperative Code to gather all relevant information.
At that moment, state ministers Kirori Lal Meena, Gautam Dak, and senior officials were present. He addressed the Secretariat Employees’ Union briefly, informing them of the tragic incident and his immediate departure for Jaisalmer.
He left, stating, "Due to the seriousness of this incident, I am leaving for Jaisalmer immediately," to the attendees.
