Mangaluru (Karnataka), May 30 (NationPress) In the wake of escalating tensions within the communally-charged atmosphere of Mangaluru district, marked by incidents of mob lynching, revenge killings, and stabbings, two individuals associated with the Hindu Jagaran Vedike have allegedly received death threats from suspected members of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.
One of the threatened individuals, 31-year-old Rakshit K Budoli, who resides in Budoli village near Bantwal town, has lodged a formal complaint with the Bantwal police regarding the threats.
In addition to Rakshit, an audio message containing the threat was dispatched via WhatsApp to Narasimha Mani, the district coordinator of the Hindu Jagaran Vedike. This message was communicated in Urdu.
The threats, conveyed through a text message and audio clip, were sent from an international number, possibly linked to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, or Afghanistan.
The message accused Rakshit of involvement in the murder of a Muslim man and also identified Narasimha Mani and several others. The police report indicates that the threats are serious, warning that the perpetrators are already nearby and intend to execute Rakshit and others in a manner reminiscent of Suhas Shetty's murder.
The message ominously stated: "The list of Hindu activists marked for execution is ready, and Narasimha Mani’s name is at the top. We are monitoring all your movements. Suhas Shetty, who was murdered, was also on our list, and good men hacked him to death. We will finish off your friend."
Further, the message detailed, "He won’t merely be killed by beheading; first, we will sever his limbs, and then we will behead him, displaying his head at Delhi Main Gate (India Gate). We are already in Delhi, and your countdown has started."
The threatening message continued, "Even Allah will not know how we will kill you. After witnessing your murder, people will forget all known methods of killing. Stop tormenting Muslims and consider your own safety. Neither your party nor your leaders will be able to save you. Your leadership will also be destroyed. This is a message from a mujahid."
