New Delhi, Oct 1 (NationPress) On the auspicious occasion of Maha Navami, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta conducted the 'Kanya Pujan' ritual at the Government Girls’ Secondary School in Haiderpur, honoring the spiritual and cultural value of girls as representations of divine feminine strength.

While addressing students, faculty, and local residents at the event, CM Gupta highlighted the critical role of empowering girls through education, opportunities, and cultural pride.

Shakti symbolizes power, and in our nation, daughters and young girls have always been viewed as representations of the Mother Goddess,” the Chief Minister remarked. “For years, we have commemorated the festival of Kanya Pujan. Even after assuming the role of Chief Minister, I firmly believe that the future of our nation and society rests on our daughters. The more love, care, and opportunities we provide them, the brighter the country's future will be.”

During her visit, CM Gupta made a significant announcement stating that the government has acquired land for a new school in the region.

“I want to convey to all the children from this village, surrounding areas, and every colony, that for years, there hasn’t been a school up to Class 12 in our locality,” she stated. “But I have great news, we have secured land for a school up to Class 12, and construction will commence soon,” she added.

Earlier that day, on X, CM Gupta extended her greetings to citizens on Maha Navami and paid homage to Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Goddess Durga.

“Today marks the sacred occasion for worshipping Maa Siddhidatri. She paves the path for success, prosperity, and liberation in life.
