New Delhi, Oct 2 (NationPress) The significant festival of Vijaya Dashami was observed with remarkable splendor at the Swaminarayan Akshardham Mandir in the capital through the ‘Vishwashanti Mahayagna’ on Thursday.
Conducted in line with the Vedic tradition, this Yagna was designed to foster global peace and harmony. Thousands of devoted participants engaged in the festivities with deep enthusiasm.
The Mahayagna began at sunrise, commencing at 6 a.m. and concluding around 9 a.m. The Swamis of Akshardham recited sacred Vedic mantras, channeling a surge of divine spiritual energy.
There were a total of 108 Yagna Kunds (sacrificial altars) set up for the ceremony.
Pujya Munivatsaldas Swami, the managing Swami of Akshardham Mandir, addressed the attendees.
“With the divine inspiration of Mahant Swami Maharaj, this Yagna was organized to promote peace and unity in the world. Special prayers were held for every family to stay united, resilient, and deeply rooted in spiritual values,” he remarked.
A significant number of young people also participated in the Yagna.
A devotee named Twinkle expressed: “During this auspicious occasion of the Vishwashanti Mahayagna, devotees were engulfed in devotion and spiritual bliss. They prayed not just for themselves but also for global peace, harmony, and love, reflecting on the true significance of Vijayadashami.”
