Mumbai, Dec 21 (NationPress) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) celebrated the remarkable achievements of the Indian blind women’s cricket team after their victorious journey in the first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup for the Blind.
On December 19, the team was warmly welcomed at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. Honorary Treasurer Raghuram Bhat greeted the athletes, expressing heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the board for their historic accomplishment.
India had an impeccable performance throughout the tournament, finishing unbeaten and securing the championship with a dominant seven-wicket victory over Nepal in the finals. They successfully chased down a target of 115 runs in just 12.1 overs.
The BCCI commended captain Deepika TC, her teammates, and the support staff for their outstanding display on the international stage.
