Los Angeles, Sep 18 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston, famed for her role in the beloved sitcom ‘Friends’, was taken aback upon discovering her best friend Reese Witherspoon's actual name.

The 56-year-old star has shared a friendship with her ‘Morning Show’ co-star for over 20 years, yet she was completely unaware that the ‘Cruel Intentions’ actress's real name is Laura, according to reports from Female First UK.

While participating in a game called 'Do you even know me?' for LadBible, Jennifer mistakenly guessed Reese's middle name.

Reese then revealed, "It's Jeanne. I'm Laura Jeanne. That's my real name.” Visibly surprised, Jennifer exclaimed, "What? Laura? Who's Laura? Who the Hell is Laura? Laura Jeanne, I won't be calling you that from now on, 'Come on, Laura Jeanne’. How did you come up with Reese?"

Reese explained, "That's my middle name.” Jennifer, still astonished, remarked, "Laura Jeanne Reese. What prompted you to go with Reese as your acting name?"

Reese clarified, "I didn’t change it; I’ve always been Reese. I wasn’t aware of your middle name either.”

According to Female First UK, the ‘Friends’ star disclosed that her own middle name is Joanna, which led Reese to bestow upon her a new nickname.

"I was today years old. Does anyone call you J.J.?" Jennifer responded, "Ummm, no.” Reese insisted, "Well, I do now!" Jennifer isn’t the only one surprised by Reese’s real name. The ‘Legally Blonde’ actress has previously mentioned that she refers to her ‘Big Little Lies’ co-star Laura Dern by her surname as it feels too "confusing" to use her first name, which left co-star Nicole Kidman puzzled.

In a conversation with Vanity Fair last year, Nicole commented, "I dislike how you call her Dern. It sounds odd. I'm always like 'Laura', and you're like 'No, Dern, Dern’, and I'm like, 'Why?"

Reese quickly explained, "Because my name is Laura, and her name's Laura too, and it confuses me. My real name is Laura Jeanne. So, I get mixed up and just call her Dern. We can’t both be Laura.”
