Rakhi Agarwal, the mother of Ketan Agarwal — allegedly murdered near Pune's Lohagad fort by his fiancée Siya Goyal and her purported lover Chetan Chaudhary — has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealing for speedy justice. In her email to the Prime Minister, Rakhi Agarwal conveyed the depth of grief her family has endured since her son's alleged killing. She made clear she was not seeking any special treatment — only the assurance that the justice system would move without unnecessary delay.

'I never imagined that I would have to write to you seeking justice for my own son. Like every mother, I dreamt of watching Ketan build a beautiful life, get married, and grow old with us. Instead, I had to perform the last rites of my child,' she wrote.

She described how every corner of their home — his room, his clothes, his photographs — serves as a constant, painful reminder of her son's absence. 'His smile makes it seem like he is still here. What was his fault? What was my fault? Why was my son killed?' she said in an accompanying video, in which she is seen holding Ketan's photograph and breaking down in tears.

Two Generations Lost

Rakhi Agarwal also revealed that Ketan's grandfather passed away shortly after the alleged murder, unable to bear the grief of losing his grandson. 'Within days, our family lost two generations,' she wrote, describing the compounded tragedy that has devastated the family.

She also noted that Raksha Bandhan is approaching — a festival when sisters tie a rakhi on their brothers' wrists. 'Whom will his sister tie a rakhi to? What will I reply to my daughter?' she asked.

Appeal to the Prime Minister

Rakhi Agarwal's central appeal was that her son's case not be reduced to a routine file. 'With folded hands, I humbly request you to kindly ensure that my son's case receives the attention it deserves and that justice is delivered without unnecessary delay. Please do not let Ketan become just another case file. He was someone's son, someone's grandson, someone's brother, but to me, he was my entire world,' she wrote.

She ended her video message with a direct appeal to the Prime Minister and the people of India: 'Please… Justice for Ketan. Please help my son get justice.'
