Kaif dubbed him one of the most gracious cricketers on the circuit.
Kuldeep, a vital asset in India’s white-ball cricket and a notable player in the Indian Premier League (IPL), embarked on a new journey in his personal life as he exchanged vows with Vanshika in an intimate ceremony held at the Welcomhotel The Savoy, attended by close family and friends this past Saturday.
Kaif, who was present at the wedding, shared a touching message for the newlyweds on X. The 45-year-old cricketer also posted a delightful photo capturing a moment where he embraced the groom.
“A significant day for Vanshika & Kuldeep Yadav. One of the kindest cricketers on the circuit. Congratulations @imkuldeep18,” Kaif expressed on X.
Former Indian spinner Piyush Chawla also took to social media to congratulate the couple, sharing a post that featured him alongside the bride and groom, along with fellow cricketers who attended the ceremony.
“Congratulations, Kuldeep & Vanshika!! Wishing both of you nothing but the best,” he captioned his post.
The wedding saw the attendance of various current and former cricketers, including Suresh Raina, Kaif, Yuzvendra Chahal, T20 World Cup champion Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, fielding coach T. Dilip, and others.
This wedding symbolizes the culmination of a long-standing relationship. Kuldeep and Vanshika have been friends since childhood, having grown up just three kilometers apart in Kanpur.
Kuldeep resides in the Lal Bungalow area, while Vanshika is from Shyam Nagar. An administrative professional with the Life Insurance Corporation of India, she also pursued advanced studies in Melbourne and has been a steadfast presence in Kuldeep’s life since their U-19 cricket days.
The couple got engaged on June 4 during a traditional ceremony in Lucknow. Their wedding, initially scheduled for November, was moved due to Kuldeep’s commitments during the multi-format series against South Africa.
