Patna, Nov 17 (NationPress) As preparations for the swearing-in ceremony in Patna by the NDA ramp up, a surprising political twist late Monday night has ignited speculation.
Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, alongside JDU Working President Sanjay Jha, took an unexpected chartered flight to Delhi.
Insiders suggest that the BJP high command summoned these prominent JDU figures to the capital.
This sudden journey raises questions about potential last-minute obstacles regarding the formation of the new government.
However, both Lalan Singh and Sanjay Jha refrained from commenting as they were approached by media at Patna Airport.
Meanwhile, efforts to form the government in Bihar are progressing swiftly. The NDA legislature party is scheduled to meet on November 19 to officially elect their leader.
Nitish Kumar is anticipated to resign that day, paving the way for the dissolution of the 17th Bihar Legislative Assembly.
The swearing-in ceremony is set for November 20 at Gandhi Maidan.
This occasion is expected to be a grand affair, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from various states, Deputy Chief Ministers, and several notable figures in attendance.
Bihar BJP State President Dilip Jaiswal indicated that preparations are underway at a “war footing.”
Earlier on Monday, the final cabinet meeting under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was conducted at the cabinet secretariat.
During this brief 15-minute session, three proposals were approved, with the presence of both Deputy Chief Ministers, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.
Post-meeting, Nitish Kumar visited Raj Bhavan along with Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary to present the cabinet’s recommendations to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan.
Nitish spent around 22 minutes at Raj Bhavan before heading home, where he continued discussions with senior party leaders, further contributing to the political stir caused by the JDU leaders' sudden visit to Delhi.
