Chennai, May 19 (NationPress) Telugu actor Manchu Manoj is making his much-anticipated return to the film industry after a nine-year hiatus with the action thriller 'Bhairavam', directed by Vijay Kanakamedala. At the trailer launch event held at the Indoor Stadium in Eluru, the actor became emotional upon viewing an audiovisual tribute dedicated to him.
During the event, he was seen wiping away tears as the AV played. Reflecting on this moment, he shared, "It's been nine years since I last spoke on a stage like this. In today's fast-paced world, nine years equates to two generations."
Clearly moved, he reminisced about his early days in acting, stating, "I came to express my thoughts, but after watching that AV and feeling your love, I find myself at a loss for words."
He continued, "I haven't contributed anything to you. I've been away for nine years, yet you continue to shower me with love. Your memories of my past films mean the world to me. On social media, fans constantly urge me to return to cinema. I can’t find the right words to express my gratitude; I should show it through my work in films."
"In a time when even family can distance themselves, your love has made me feel accepted and strengthened my resolve. I bow to all of you who have shown such affection," added Manchu Manoj.
Expressing his joy over returning with 'Bhairavam', he thanked producers Radhamohan and Sridhar for their passion in creating this film.
"While I haven't produced grand films, you (referring to the producers) chose to invest Rs 50 crore in us. Truly commendable! Hats off to both of you," he remarked.
He also conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the director for casting him. "Director Vijay has previously delivered blockbusters; he could have easily opted for bigger stars from the Tamil or Bollywood industries. But he remembered me. I will remain grateful to him for life. He has executed this film exceptionally well," said Manchu Manoj.
The actor also took a moment to jab at his family, stating, "If you call to Lord Shiva, he won’t appear. If you genuinely think of him, he will come, just as my director, my producers, and all of you have come into my life."
Discussing his co-stars, he mentioned, "Bellamkonda Sai feels like my younger brother, and it was a delight working together. I'll support him like an elder brother."
Regarding his other co-actor, Nara Rohit, he said, "Rohit is a treasured friend. We've been connected since childhood. In 2016, I made a movie called Okkadu Migiladu, which was my last film. He lent his voice for that movie. Now, I'm back, and this journey begins again with Nara Rohit."
He also praised the entire cast for their contributions during the event.
