Bhubaneswar, Oct 3 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their pivotal role in enhancing digital skills in Odisha through the establishment of the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Centre located in Balasore district.
In a post on his X account, CM Majhi stated, "On behalf of the people of Odisha, I sincerely thank Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi and Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @AshwiniVaishnawJi for their unwavering support in bolstering digital skilling initiatives in our state. It is noteworthy that Union Minister Vaishnaw also virtually inaugurated five additional NIELIT Centres in Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Balasore (Odisha), Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), Daman (Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu), and Lunglei (Mizoram) on Thursday.
This platform will provide industry-relevant programmes in specialized technologies such as AI, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Semiconductors, and related fields. It will also offer flexible digital learning methods and virtual laboratories to equip youth with essential skills for the future.
With the launch of these new Centres, NIELIT continues to be a crucial player in shaping India’s technological landscape.
The NIELIT, operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), was established to foster human resource development and related initiatives in the domain of Information Electronics and Communication Technology (IECT).
