"Dear Lata Didi, like every vocalist, I regard you as my idol. Once, while I was recording at a studio, Lata Didi also arrived to record. Upon learning this, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't focus, and the recording engineer suggested, 'Let’s do the recording tomorrow; go meet Didi today.' I hurried to Lata Didi, eager to express my admiration, but before I could, she said, 'Shreya, I’ve heard your songs; you sing beautifully.' For me, that first meeting was not just a meeting; it was a divine experience of Lata Didi," Shreya fondly recalled.
