Bhopal, March 23 (NationPress) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated on Monday that the rising number of candidates from Madhya Pradesh in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations indicates a transformation within the state.
While addressing a ceremony honoring the UPSC 2025 achievers from Madhya Pradesh, Yadav expressed his pride in the 61 successful candidates, noting that their achievements symbolize their perseverance and skill. He emphasized that these candidates are pivotal for creating a developed and self-sufficient India by 2047.
He remarked that their fate has entrusted them with significant responsibilities, stating that their success entails a duty to the welfare and progress of millions of citizens in Madhya Pradesh.
“Securing a position in the administrative services of the world's largest democracy is a remarkable chance for the chosen youth. In a democratic setup, individuals can attain the highest roles through public trust,” he remarked.
During his speech, the Chief Minister highlighted that there have been cases where candidates achieved commendable ranks in the UPSC yet struggled with effective policy implementation.
Anupam Rajan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh, revealed that this year, a total of 958 candidates were selected nationwide in the Civil Services Examination, with 61 hailing from Madhya Pradesh.
He noted that 22 of the state’s successful candidates were educated in government institutions. Rajan added that candidates from smaller towns like Sohagpur and Sironj have also made the cut, showcasing the increasing enthusiasm for civil services among the youth in the state. He pointed out that the notion that preparing for civil services necessitates studying only in top-tier institutions or relocating to cities like Delhi or Indore is slowly diminishing.
