New Delhi, Dec 19 (NationPress) As India gears up to host the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in the nation's capital this February, a series of research-driven initiatives is emerging as the foundational knowledge for this global event, establishing the country as a center for responsible and impact-driven artificial intelligence, especially for the Global South.

At the heart of these efforts are five research casebooks along with a specialized research symposium, being developed by IndiaAI in collaboration with prominent international and domestic organizations. These initiatives concentrate on practical AI applications and seek to assist nations in scaling AI solutions that are ethical, inclusive, and sustainable.

One significant initiative is the AI for Energy Casebook, created in partnership with the International Energy Agency. This document details how AI is utilized to predict renewable energy, enhance grid stability, and improve industrial productivity. It compiles successful implementations to bolster energy security and sustainability, particularly in developing economies.

In the healthcare sector, IndiaAI has joined forces with the World Health Organisation to document AI applications across the Global South. This casebook emphasizes deployed solutions in diagnostics, disease monitoring, maternal health, telemedicine, and supply-chain optimization, highlighting both impacts and lessons for responsible scaling.

Another notable project is the Compendium on Gender-Transformative AI Solutions, curated in partnership with UN Women India. This initiative spotlights AI innovations that promote gender equality by enhancing women's safety, financial inclusion, health, education, skill development, and climate resilience, while tackling bias through evidence-based design.

A compendium focused on education, developed with CSF and the EkStep Foundation, showcases scalable AI solutions that enhance foundational learning, support teachers, and promote inclusion across emerging economies. Selected case studies will be presented at the summit, contributing to a global evidence base for AI adoption in education.

In the agricultural sector, IndiaAI collaborates with the Government of Maharashtra’s AI and Agritech Innovation Centre and the World Bank to compile AI solutions that yield measurable benefits for farmers and agricultural systems.

To complement these publications, the Research Symposium on AI and Its Impact will take place on February 18, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam. This symposium aims to unite leading researchers from India and the Global South, showcasing impactful research and strengthening connections between policy, research, and real-world implementation.

Together, these initiatives seek to ground the India–AI Impact Summit 2026 in evidence-based insights, further solidifying India’s position as a global leader in responsible AI innovation.
