Ahmedabad, Sep 18 (NationPress) Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, stated on Thursday that the recent SEBI orders have confirmed our long-held position that the allegations made by Hindenburg against the Group are entirely unfounded.
In two separate rulings issued on Thursday, the capital market regulator concluded the proceedings involving Adani Group companies and their senior officials regarding the claims made by Hindenburg Research.
“Following a thorough investigation, SEBI has validated what we have always said, that the Hindenburg claims were unfounded. Transparency and integrity have always characterized the Adani Group,” Gautam Adani expressed in a message on the social media platform X.
“We genuinely empathize with the investors who suffered losses due to this deceptive and biased report. Those who propagate false narratives owe the nation an apology,” the billionaire remarked.
Gautam Adani added: “Our dedication to India’s institutions, its people, and nation-building remains steadfast. Satyamev Jayate! JAI HIND!”
The capital market regulator stated that an in-depth investigation revealed no breaches concerning related party transactions (RPTs) by the listed companies and the individuals involved, leading to the proceedings being closed without any directive.
“Therefore, upon comprehensive consideration, I conclude that the allegations made against the Noticees in the Show Cause Notice (SCN) are unproven. Hence, the issue of any liability on Noticees does not arise, and consequently, the determination of any penalty does not necessitate further consideration. I hereby close the current proceedings against the Noticees without any directive,” expressed Kamlesh C. Varshney, a whole-time member at SEBI, in the two documents.
