New Delhi, Nov 19 (NationPress) On Wednesday, Apple announced the expansion of its AppleCare+ protection plans for customers in India, unveiling new flexible options, including AppleCare+ that covers theft and loss for iPhone devices.
With the introduction of monthly and annual subscription choices, users now have enhanced flexibility in safeguarding their Apple devices, allowing them to maintain coverage for as long as they desire.
Apple emphasized that the revised plans are designed to simplify and make device protection more affordable. “AppleCare provides our customers with peace of mind, knowing their products are backed by Apple experts,” stated Kaiann Drance, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.
“With the latest updates in India, we are making it easier and more cost-effective to obtain reliable protection, including access to our most comprehensive coverage for iPhone,” Drance added.
The newly launched AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss allows for coverage of up to two incidents of theft or loss annually.
In addition to offering reassurance if an iPhone is lost, the plan encompasses all the benefits associated with standard AppleCare+.
Users receive 24/7 priority support, battery replacement services, and unlimited accidental damage repairs using genuine Apple parts at Apple Stores and authorized service centers. The starting price for the Theft and Loss plan is Rs 799.
Customers can explore these protection options and purchase plans directly via the Settings app on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Coverage begins immediately, regardless of whether they choose a monthly or annual subscription.
The expansion of AppleCare+ in India coincides with Apple enhancing its health and safety features globally.
Recently, Apple revealed that the new hypertension notification feature on the Apple Watch could alert over one million users to signs of chronic high blood pressure—an issue affecting around 1.3 billion adults worldwide.
This feature employs machine learning to identify early signs of hypertension by analyzing blood vessel responses over a 30-day period.
