New Delhi, Sep 22 (NationPress) Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has called upon the Group's workforce to quicken the pace of innovation and pursue bold advancements in energy, logistics, and other infrastructure sectors that challenge the limits of what is possible. This call to action comes as the Hindenburg case cloud hovering over the conglomerate dissipates, following the SEBI verdict that dismissed the allegations put forth by the US short-seller.

"We must create not simply for the applause of the moment but for a legacy that lasts for generations. Headlines may fade, but our contributions must leave a lasting imprint on history," Gautam Adani stated in a letter to the Group's personnel.

"Today marks an end to the cloud that has shadowed us for over two years. SEBI's thorough investigation has concluded by rejecting all claims presented in the Hindenburg report from January 2023," he added.

The Adani Group has consistently refuted the accusations made by the US-based Hindenburg Research, which ironically faced its own scrutiny due to controversial short-selling practices, ultimately leading to its operational shutdown amid significant backlash in the American media.

According to the SEBI ruling, "the situation has been evaluated comprehensively, and the allegations against the Adani Group are unsubstantiated".

Gautam Adani characterized the accusations as a "targeted, multifaceted assault" and praised his team for sustaining operational momentum despite global scrutiny. "This attack was never merely a market event," he remarked.

He commended the Group’s employees for their relentless execution of significant infrastructure projects amidst the scrutiny. Ports, power plants, airports, and renewable energy initiatives continued to grow despite reputational and legal pressures.

"While the world speculated about us, our ports expanded, transmission lines extended, power plants operated reliably, renewable projects continued to enhance the environment, airports progressed, cement furnaces operated, and logistics teams delivered without fail," he noted. "You demonstrated that performing under pressure is the true measure of character, and the Adani character is undeniably resilient."

In his letter, Gautam Adani asserted that the Adani Group has emerged more robust and outlined future priorities, which include a commitment to transparency, innovation, long-term value creation, and transformation.

"Integrity and transparency must remain the bedrock of all our endeavors - inseparable, uncompromising, and safeguarded vigilantly," he declared.

Other priorities will encompass accelerating innovation in energy, logistics, and infrastructure; establishing a legacy that endures long after fleeting headlines; and welcoming transformation to mold the future rather than being molded by it, he emphasized.

Urging employees to embrace transformation, he warned that the future will advance with or without them. "We can either shape the future to reflect our dreams or be shaped by it into something we fear," he cautioned.

Gautam Adani also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Group’s personnel for their unwavering support during challenging times.

"I understand the quiet anxieties your families experienced, the doubts you may have had at times, yet day after day, you showed up - you fought for my beliefs," he remarked.

He highlighted the Group's operational resilience, stating, "While the world debated our situation, our ports expanded, transmission lines extended, power plants operated reliably, renewable projects continued to green the world, airports advanced, cement furnaces operated, and logistics teams delivered flawlessly."

Gautam Adani referred to the controversy as an 'agnipariksha', suggesting that every crisis deepens foundations and fortifies resolve. He cautioned employees that further challenges would arise but urged them to draw confidence from the Group's performance under pressure.

The crisis unsettled global investors, prompted inquiries from the Supreme Court, and led to SEBI initiating several investigations. While Hindenburg subsequently ceased operations in January 2025 under what Adani termed "mysterious circumstances", the shadow of its allegations persisted until the regulator's latest findings.

Despite experiencing credit downgrades and investor skepticism in early 2023, the Group has since regained market value, bolstered by strategic equity investments from global firms such as GQG Partners and the Abu Dhabi-based International Holding Company. Additionally, the reduction of debt and resumption of expansion in core infrastructure business aided recovery.

As of Monday, shares of Adani Enterprises Ltd have surged more than 80 percent, outperforming the Nifty 50 Index.
