New Delhi, Sep 22 (NationPress) Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Monday that he will transition to Zoho, an indigenous platform for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. He shared this update on the social media platform X, encouraging the public to heed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for Swadeshi by embracing local products and services.
"I am transitioning to Zoho -- our own Swadeshi platform for documents, spreadsheets & presentations," he stated on X.
"I urge everyone to support PM Narendra Modi’s appeal for Swadeshi by opting for indigenous products & services," Vaishnaw emphasized.
This appeal follows PM Modi's recent letter to the citizens of India, encouraging them to back Made-in-India products during the festive season.
PM Modi connected this initiative to the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and expressed that purchasing Swadeshi goods not only bolsters the economy but also aids local artisans, workers, and industries.
"Every time you purchase a product crafted by our artisans, workers, and industries, you support families in earning their livelihoods and create job opportunities for our youth," the Prime Minister remarked, while also motivating traders to champion local goods.
In his message, PM Modi pointed out that this year’s festive season has an added cause for celebration with the launch of “GST Bachat Utsav”, facilitated by the Next Generation GST reforms.
These reforms are anticipated to lower household expenses, simplify business operations, and boost growth across all segments of society, including farmers, women, youth, traders, and MSMEs.
The Prime Minister also noted the implementation of GST in 2017 as a “turning point” that liberated citizens and businesses from the complexities of multiple taxes, providing relief under the principle of “One Nation, One Tax”.
Vaishnaw’s decision to switch to Zoho mirrors the government’s broader aim to adopt indigenous platforms and foster self-reliance.
It serves as a reminder for citizens to increasingly choose Swadeshi services and products in their daily lives, aligning with the Prime Minister’s call for self-reliance and inclusive growth.
