Mumbai, May 28 (NationPress) - Retail pharmacy chain MedPlus Health Services has disclosed that its revenue from operations experienced a decline of 3.32% sequentially, falling to Rs 1,509.6 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 1,561.4 crore in Q3 of the previous fiscal year.
In a similar trend, total income decreased by 3.08% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ), amounting to Rs 1,525.4 crore during the same period, as per its filing with the stock exchange.
Despite this, the Hyderabad-based medical laboratory firm reported a substantial 12.01% increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 51.3 crore in Q4 of FY25, compared to Rs 45.8 crore in the preceding quarter.
On a year-on-year (YoY) comparison, MedPlus demonstrated robust performance, with net profit soaring by 53.7% from Rs 33.5 crore in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations also saw a modest growth of 1.3% over the same quarter last year (Q4 FY24).
Profit before tax (PBT) nearly doubled, increasing by 91.1% YoY to Rs 61.12 crore for the quarter ending March 31.
The company's operating EBITDA exhibited significant improvement, rising by 38.2% YoY to Rs 80.33 crore in Q4, up from Rs 58.13 crore during the same period last year.
Moreover, the operating EBITDA margin enhanced to 5.3%, compared to 3.9% a year earlier.
Throughout the quarter, MedPlus opened 100 new stores, increasing its total store count to 4,712 as of March 31, according to the company's regulatory filing.
For the complete financial year FY25, MedPlus reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 150.32 crore, reflecting a remarkable 129.6% increase compared to FY24.
The annual revenue from operations also climbed by 9.1%, reaching Rs 6,136.05 crore.
