Indore, Nov 14 (NationPress) The government of Madhya Pradesh has secured investment proposals totaling Rs 15,896 crore during the 'Tech Growth Conclave 2.0' held in Indore, which is projected to generate 64,085 new job opportunities across the state.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the Madhya Pradesh government is poised to embark on a significant advancement in the realm of space technology.
He revealed plans for a knowledge and AI city to be developed on 2,000 acres in Bhopal, designed as a modern high-tech and cyber city.
“World-class institutions, research centers, and start-ups will converge here, transforming Madhya Pradesh into India's AI hub,” stated CM Yadav during his address at the conclave at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that for the 'Science City Project', the state aims to allocate 25 acres of land to facilitate science, innovation, and technological research.
CM Yadav emphasized that the 'Tech Growth Conclave' represents a pivotal moment in establishing the state as a leader on India's emerging technology map.
“With its progressive policies, robust infrastructure, investor-friendly climate, and skilled workforce, Madhya Pradesh has become a magnet for global investors,” he added.
During the event, the Chief Minister granted letters of intent for land allotment to nine companies, aimed at fostering investment and industrial growth.
“These initiatives will bring an investment of Rs 10.61 crore and create approximately 740 new jobs,” he stated.
Additionally, the state government signed seven MoUs with various industries to enhance investment and job creation.
These agreements are expected to generate around Rs 800 crore in investments and create 10,500 new jobs.
Later, Chief Minister Yadav inaugurated the 'Drone Data Repository', a project anticipated to encourage the use of drone technology in land management, urban planning, forest conservation, irrigation, and disaster management.
He also presented the draft of Madhya Pradesh's Space Tech Policy–2025, aimed at positioning the state as a leader in India's space technology economy.
This policy is set to open new pathways for research, investment, employment, and both economic and scientific progress.
