Mumbai, Sep 25 (NationPress) Singer Abhijeet Sawant, who recently unveiled his festive track ‘Premrang Sanedo’, expressed his long-standing desire to craft a song for Navratri and Raas Dandiya. He emphasized that although this is his inaugural Gujarati song, he aimed to infuse it with a Marathi essence.
Launched recently, Premrang Sanedo is both composed and performed by Abhijeet, who shared with IANS: "In our culture, we have a rich repertoire of popular songs for Navratri and Raas Dandiya, and I always aspired to create a track specifically for such a celebration."
While Premrang Sanedo is a fusion of Gujarati and Marathi influences, fans have embraced it with overwhelming affection, generating numerous reels and sharing them widely across various platforms.
“Even though this is my first Gujarati song, I wanted to impart a Marathi flavor – and that’s precisely what I’ve endeavored to convey to the audience through this track,” remarked the singer.

Reflecting on his journey, Abhijeet rose to fame after participating in “Indian Idol” Season 1, leading to the release of his debut solo album, Aapka Abhijeet Sawant, in 2005. That same year, he also lent his voice for playback in the film Aashiq Banaya Aapne, performing the song Mar Jaawan Mit Jaawan.
His second album, Junoon, came out in 2007, followed by his third studio album, Farida, in 2013.
