What Inspired Actor Nakkhul After Singing for Lydian Nadhaswaram?

Chennai, July 20 (NationPress) Renowned Tamil actor Nakkhul, who contributed his voice to the musical prodigy Lydian Nadhaswaram's project 'The Thirukkural 1330 - Musical Ethos', expressed that the experience has profoundly inspired him and filled him with gratitude.

In a heartfelt message on his social media, Nakkhul shared his thoughts about singing a brief segment of 'The Thirukkural 1330 - Musical Ethos'. He remarked, "I had the honor of singing for the exceptional @lydiannadhaswaramofficial. Being surrounded by individuals who are so passionate about their art was incredibly humbling."

The actor continued, "I always knew that Lydian was a prodigy—humble, brilliant, and unique. However, meeting his family helped me realize the source of his brilliance! They don’t just support music; they truly embody it!"

He further mentioned, "This project showcases over 1000 voices across various genres and includes some new musical styles developed along the way—all intricately woven to bring the timeless words of Thiruvalluvar to life through sound and their meanings."

The Thirukkuṟaḷ is a classic Tamil text that consists of 1,330 short couplets known as Kurals, acclaimed as one of the greatest literary works globally. Each Kural comprises seven words and imparts teachings on virtue, wealth, and love, celebrated for its universality and secular nature. Lydian's venture to portray this literary gem in a musical format is highly anticipated.

It’s worth noting that Lydian is the sole student of renowned music director Ilaiyaraaja, who recently achieved the remarkable feat of being the first Indian to conduct a western classical symphony at the Eventim Apollo theatre in London this March.

Lydian, a native of Chennai, was merely 17 when he appeared on The World's Best in 2019 and clinched victory, earning a prize of one million dollars.

This talented young man is proficient in over 14 musical instruments, including drums, tabla, and guitar, and is celebrated for his exceptional piano skills.
