Chennai, Dec 8 (NationPress) Actress Krithi Shetty, currently recognized as one of the leading actresses in the Tamil and Telugu film sectors, shared her insights on the ongoing discussion regarding shooting hours in the film industry. She emphasized that cinema does not conform to a single standard, and the decision to work an eight-hour day or extend beyond that varies among individuals.

In a candid interview with IANS, Krithi, who stars as the female lead in director Nalan Kumarasamy's upcoming film 'Vaa Vaathiyaar', addressed the contrasting opinions among actresses regarding their daily shooting hours.

When asked about the topic, she expressed, "Cinema is not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Each person in this industry is unique, and their work processes differ. Indeed, no two actresses are alike, as they approach their craft and lives with distinct perspectives. Ultimately, it boils down to what suits each individual best."

Further illustrating her viewpoint, Krithi shared, "Personally, I can work for 24 hours as I possess the energy and do not have many family obligations. I am willing to commit. I consider myself a director's actor; if a director needs 13 hours from me, I'm more than willing to oblige. While filming this project, I managed double shifts between Hyderabad and Chennai. Right now, I'm eager to work because I have the stamina. However, if someone chooses not to, I don't see that as a flaw."

She noted that the issue of working hours could be easily resolved with prior discussions. "If both directors and producers are aware beforehand of an actor's willingness to work extended hours, it eliminates potential issues. If not, they can seek another actor. Thus, it really depends on the individual, and it's healthier when these matters are addressed upfront."
