Mumbai, July 30 (NationPress) Actress Adah Sharma received accolades from former actress Meenakshi Seshadri and humorously expressed that she currently does not feel “very grounded” after the flattering comments she received about herself.
Adah took to Instagram to share a series of pictures with the former actress, tagging her as “so khoobsoorat”.
The images capture moments of the “Hero” actress showcasing her elegant classical dance on stage, alongside nostalgic snapshots from her earlier days in Hindi cinema.
“Meenakshi Seshadriji is soooo khoobsoorat. And she said some really nice things to me about me so currently I'm not very grounded,” Adah wrote in her caption.
However, the actress did not clarify how, when, or where they encountered each other.
Earlier this month on July 1, Adah candidly discussed a serious nose injury she sustained while filming her upcoming action thriller. She revealed that the injury occurred during a challenging action sequence on set, underscoring the physical demands of her role.
A source close to the situation disclosed that Sharma broke her nose during intense nunchuck training for her forthcoming action-packed film. The incident transpired during a late-night stunt rehearsal.
Reflecting on her injury, Adah commented, “Pain is temporary. Cinema is forever. Now I really look like an action heroine. The night I got hurt I was shooting for a romantic concept music video the next day so between the romance I was sitting with an ice pack for the swelling and we used loads of makeup to cover it.”
Details about Adah’s upcoming action film remain undisclosed.
The actress is also preparing to portray the character of Devi in a trilingual film directed by BM Giriraj. Additionally, she has “Reeta Sanyal Season 2” in the works.
Speaking of Meenakshi, she emerged as one of the leading actresses in Hindi cinema during the 1980s and 1990s.
She made her debut with the film Painter Babu in 1983, and her second film Hero propelled her to instant fame.
Meenakshi achieved stardom with her performances in films such as “Aandhi-Toofan,” “Meri Jung,” “Swati,” “Dacait,” “Inaam Dus Hazaar,” “Shahenshah,” “Awaargi,” “Ghar Ho To Aisa,” “Damini,” and “Ghatak.” A documentary about her life, titled Meenakshi Accept Her Wings, was also produced.
Her last appearance was in “Ghatak: Lethal” in 1996, a Hindi-language action thriller directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, featuring Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Seshadri, Amrish Puri, and Danny Denzongpa. It became the highest-grossing Bollywood film in terms of domestic box office collections and the second-highest grossing overall regarding worldwide revenue that year.
