Director Ali Abbas Zafar's yet-untitled romantic action drama starring Ahaan Panday, Sharvari, Aaishvary Thackeray, and Bobby Deol has been locked for a theatrical release on 26 March 2027 — the occasion of Good Friday. The announcement confirms Yash Raj Films (YRF) chief Aditya Chopra's strategy of anchoring big-ticket releases to long holiday weekends.

A Fifth Collaboration for Chopra and Zafar

Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film represents the fifth time the producer-director pair has joined forces. Their previous collaborations include Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), Gunday (2014), Sultan (2016), and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) — a run that collectively grossed several hundred crores at the box office. The new project has been extensively shot in the UK.

Cast and Character Details

Ahaan Panday leads the film in what is being described as a fierce, physically demanding role. According to earlier reports, Panday underwent a rigorous training regimen of four to five hours daily, combining boxing, mixed martial arts, and strength conditioning. A source close to the production had said: 'Ahaan will start his training in boxing first and then move on to mixing martial arts and hardcore strength training to bulk up for the screen. His training will be for about 5 hours every day. It will be intense but necessary as Ali wants to present him as a young boy who can take down people with sheer brute force.'

Aaishvary Thackeray has been cast as the film's antagonist, marking a notable pivot for the actor. Bobby Deol, who has reinvented himself as a screen villain in recent years, is also part of the ensemble. YRF has reportedly kept the project under strict wraps, with the source adding: 'No one can even imagine Ahaan in this fierce avatar and YRF will keep things completely under wraps for people to feel the awe when they look at him in his new film visuals.'
