Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) Filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth made an appearance at IFFI 2025 in Goa on November 28th. The daughter of the legendary Rajinikanth shared her heartfelt insights about her film Lal Salaam, which was showcased at the festival.

Reflecting on this monumental occasion, she expressed, “This moment is still settling in. It feels incredibly surreal. I find myself at a loss for words. I consider this a true blessing for our film.”

She elaborated, “This journey had numerous experiences and challenges. The process of creating this film was monumental, and my father provided an unshakeable foundation for it all. I owe him a great deal, as do I to my entire team for making this project a reality.” “I extend my gratitude to the producers for having faith in us and to Rahman sir for endorsing such a meaningful cause, as he connected deeply with the film's message. Everyone involved took away fragments of its emotion, which is the film's essence. Presenting it on such a global platform was beyond our wildest dreams,” she stated.

Aishwarya continued, “As a daughter, a director, and a member of the film industry, this is a dream realized. I am profoundly thankful to God today and to my team for standing by me through every challenge. I truly appreciate everyone's support. Celebrating my father's 50th year and having this film be a part of that is indeed a blessing for both me and as a director. Thank you all.”

When questioned about whether she exercised any special privileges as his daughter, such as making Rajinikanth exert himself a bit more, or if the atmosphere remained entirely professional, Aishwarya replied, “No, he maintained a strict professionalism. This made it more challenging, as he would always rise to the occasion. Working alongside him as a director was tough because of our close relationship. I feel immensely fortunate to have had this experience.” She also reflected on the significance of having a superstar like Rajinikanth promote the film's core message of ‘humanity above religion’ across diverse regions. “I might sound boastful about my father, but with the entire world celebrating his 50th anniversary, with countless fans sharing posters and messages in his honor, I believe it is entirely valid for me to feel proud.”

She remarked, “Every day when he arrived on set, and I called ‘action’, it was like witnessing a masterclass. His dedication and punctuality set the standard for everyone. It was essentially a 24-hour free masterclass for all of us.”

Discussing memorable moments with the cast, she shared, “There are countless memories. Each cast and crew member faced numerous challenges together. Many returned after their scenes, ready to give us that extra shot, that one additional frame. I owe my gratitude to each of them.”

Lal Salaam, released in 2024, is a Tamil-language sports action drama directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the Lyca Productions banner. The film features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the leading roles, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah. Additionally, megastar Rajinikanth appears in an extended cameo.
