Mumbai, Jan 17 (NationPress) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar reminisced about a valuable piece of advice from his mother-in-law, Dimple Kapadia, as he prepared to marry Twinkle Khanna. In a recent social media update, Akshay shared that when he was set to tie the knot with Twinkle in 2001, Dimple advised him to be prepared to find humor in the most peculiar situations, as that is something Twinkle embraces wholeheartedly.

Now, after 25 years of marriage to the 'Mela' actress, Akshay is confident that his mother-in-law's words were spot on. He described Twinkle as someone who prefers to dance through life, writing on his official Instagram, "On this day in 2001, her mother had said, 'Beta, get ready to burst out laughing in the most weird situations because she’ll do exactly that.'"

Reflecting on their journey, he added, "25 years later, I know my mother-in-law never lies… her daughter refuses to walk straight and instead chooses to dance through life!"

"From day one to year twenty-five, cheers to my lady who keeps me laughing, guessing, and a bit anxious at times! Happy anniversary to us, Tina. 25 years of delightful madness that we both cherish," the 'Airlift' actor continued.

To illustrate his point, Akshay also shared a video featuring Twinkle running in slow motion with humorous expressions on her face, accompanied by the track, 'Ramba Ho-Ho-Ho Samba Ho-Ho-Ho' by Usha Uthup playing in the background.

Akshay and Twinkle reportedly met at a mutual friend's gathering, and their romance blossomed during the filming of 'International Khiladi'. After dating for a while, they exchanged vows on January 17, 2001, during a private ceremony with close friends and family. The couple is blessed with two children, a son named Aarav and a daughter named Nitara.
