Television actor Amar Upadhyay rang in his 50th birthday on Saturday, 1 August with an outpouring of love from his children, as son Aryaman and daughter Chenab took to social media to celebrate the milestone with touching personal tributes. The warm family moment quickly caught the attention of fans and followers of the veteran actor.

Aryaman's Tribute to His Father

Aryaman Upadhyay shared a series of photographs with his father on Instagram, accompanying them with an emotional note. 'Happy Birthday Dad. You are my mentor, my friend, my teacher and my world. Everything that I am today and anything that I will become tomorrow is by watching you, guided by you,' he wrote.

Aryaman went on to credit his father with teaching him what he called the 'three greatest lessons' of life. 'I've learnt three of the greatest lessons of life by just watching you that people takes years to learn. Humility, Hardwork and Discipline (almost getting there) I'm just so grateful to be your son, I love you,' he added.

Chenab's Sweet Message

Amar's daughter Chenab shared a string of throwback pictures from her toddler days alongside her father, keeping her message simple and warm: 'happy birthday dad. I love you the most.' Amar responded affectionately, writing: 'Thank you @chenabupadhyay my baccha.'

Amar Upadhyay's career began in 1993, when photographs of him appeared in a magazine — an exposure that led veteran filmmaker Jaya Bachchan to cast him in the television series Dekh Bhai Dekh. That break opened the doors to a string of popular shows including Arzoo, Suhana Safar, Tulsi, and Mehndi Tere Naam Ki.

He is best known for his long-running collaborations with producer Ekta Kapoor, starring in landmark shows such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kalash, Kkusum, and Molkki. He also participated in Bigg Boss, where he emerged as a finalist. His other notable television credits include Viraasat, Chand Ke Paar Chalo, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Ishqbaaaz, and Doree.

On the film front, Amar has appeared in LOC Kargil, 13B, Kaagaz, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, among others. Most recently, he reprised his iconic role as Mihir Virani opposite Smriti Irani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, the sequel and reboot of the original show, which also features Rohit Suchanti, Tanisha Mehta, Shagun Sharma, and Aman Gandhi in second-generation roles.
