Chennai, Feb 10 (NationPress) Director Ashwath Marimuthu reveals that his forthcoming movie, Dragon, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Anupama Parameswaran, will delve into the concept of success and its true meaning.
At a press conference following the trailer launch, Marimuthu addressed a query regarding the film's key message, stating, “In today’s world, someone earning Rs 10,000 may view a person making Rs 1 lakh as successful. Conversely, for someone making Rs 1 lakh, a crore earner appears successful, and for that individual, a person with Rs 10 crores seems to have achieved success. Therefore, if we try to gauge a person's success based solely on their income, it becomes a futile exercise. This leads us to the fundamental question: what truly is success? Is someone earning Rs 1,000 deemed unsuccessful? Dragon seeks to address this inquiry.”
He elaborated further, stating, “Regardless of whether you earn Rs 1,000 or Rs 10,000, if you acquire that amount through honest means and utilize it to support yourself and your loved ones, you are indeed successful. This is the core message my film aims to convey. That’s why it’s a family entertainer, as it emphasizes the significance of family.”
Meanwhile, the film's trailer has been unveiled, showcasing Pradeep Ranganathan as a character who is depicted as an “irresponsible, reckless, and seemingly useless boy from the 2018 engineering college batch.” His parents are portrayed as loving and innocent, yet he does not hesitate to deceive them. Despite having romantic relationships, he faces breakups because no girl wishes to be with a perceived failure. This desire to succeed swiftly drives the narrative of Dragon.
