In the picture, the affectionate father is captured giving Amaal a kiss on the cheek, describing it as “A Lifetime in a Moment”.
During his time in the Bigg Boss 19 house, Amaal frequently discussed his relationship with his father. He opened up to his fellow contestants about their family's challenging times, which included his father Daboo Malik's struggles in his career and the burden of a Rs. 3.5 crore loan.
In a recent exclusive interview with IANS, Amaal reflected on discussing his family’s hardships on a national platform. When asked if he believed it was wise to reveal such personal matters, including their severe struggles on Bigg Boss 19, Mallik expressed that he had no regrets. He stated that his journey has been authentic, and he is unafraid to share his truth.
“If someone inquires about my entire journey, I will respond with complete honesty. I don’t fear revealing my truth. Many are concerned about their public image or online following. I’m not. If I’m sharing my story, I will share it in its entirety. Some of my parents think I could have expressed things differently—understandably, their viewpoint differs from mine. They weren’t living in that house. But I spoke from my heart,” he shared.
During his reality show experience, Amaal addressed their financial challenges, stating, “We had a loan of Rs 3.5-4 crore due to various reasons, and no one, not even my uncle or anyone else, came to our aid.”
He also mentioned how these challenges were heightened by his grandfather’s serious illness and emphasized that he has never depended on his father’s or family’s fame to propel his career.
