Dangal TV is set to launch its new original drama 'Hamari Bhabhi Number 1', a family entertainer that places the elder daughter-in-law at the centre of the narrative — a character archetype rarely given the spotlight in Indian television. The show premieres with a Monday to Saturday schedule at 9:30 PM IST.

Set in the culturally rich neighbourhood of Dwarka, the series follows the Kapadia family, a household deeply rooted in tradition and the custodians of a temple heritage legacy. At the heart of the drama is Bansari Kapadia, the family's eldest daughter-in-law, who serves as its emotional anchor — quietly managing responsibilities while holding everyone together.

Veteran actress Sonal Khilwani leads the show as Bansari. Speaking about her decision to take on the role, she said, 'One of the biggest reasons I chose Hamari Bhabhi Number 1 was because the concept felt genuinely fresh. We often see stories centred around the newlywed daughter-in-law or the mother, but rarely explore the journey of the elder bhabhi, who quietly carries the emotional weight and responsibilities of the entire household. Bansari is strong, selfless and deeply devoted to her family, especially her devar Laalo, whom she has raised like her own child. I am really looking forward to audiences experiencing her journey.'
