In her post, she expressed, “On World Mental Health Day, I am immensely honored to be named the first-ever Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.”
She continued, “Under the leadership of our esteemed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our country has made significant progress in prioritizing mental health within public health. Throughout my personal journey and the advocacy work we’ve undertaken over the past ten years, I’ve witnessed the immense potential when we unite for a mentally healthier India. I am eager to collaborate with Sri JP Nadda to further enhance our nation's mental health initiatives,” she concluded.
Deepika has long been a passionate supporter of mental health awareness. She faced her own mental health battles, particularly following her breakup with fellow Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, Deepika starred in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, alongside renowned actors such as Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor.
The film achieved remarkable success, grossing approximately Rs. 372 crore globally. Having recently embraced motherhood, Deepika is set to appear in Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming project, King, and in a film featuring Allu Arjun, directed by Atlee.
