This series commemorates 100 years of the legendary Raj Kapoor, created by Armaan Jain, with direction and writing by Smriti Mundhra, and produced by Aavashyak Media.
Armaan Jain expressed, “Gathering the Kapoor khandan around the dining table felt like unlocking a treasure trove of stories—filled with laughter, chaos, endless food, and the banter that is ingrained in our DNA.”
He further noted that this show is his tribute to his “Nanaji” Raj Kapoor, celebrating the enduring bonds that unite them.
“There could not have been a better collaborator than Netflix to bring this narrative to life and present it to audiences worldwide. Produced by my company, Aavashyak Media, this project is a heartfelt homage to family, cinema, and the memories that define us,” Armaan added.
Filmed in a documentary style, it provides an unfiltered view into their universe: the laughter, playful teasing, and lasting connections that have shaped Bollywood’s first family.
Paying tribute to the legacy of the man who shaped Indian cinema, the special features Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Rima Jain, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and others.
Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, stated, “For nearly a decade, Netflix has been at the forefront of expanding India’s interest in documentary storytelling, covering diverse genres and unique voices.
