Mumbai, April 11 (NationPress) The acclaimed Bollywood director and choreographer, as well as a prominent Youtuber, Farah Khan, has expressed her admiration for the legendary Hollywood star Tom Cruise by commenting that she “digs him” in a post on his social media.
Recently, Tom shared a mysterious post on Instagram to promote his upcoming film “Digger”, directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. The post featured an image of a large shovel standing upright in the ground, accompanied by a tiny human figure.
“In DIGGER We Trust. 33.711°N, 116.233°W,” Cruise wrote alongside the image.
Farah couldn’t resist leaving a playful comment for the Hollywood icon, simply writing: “TOMMMMM .. I DIG you.”
Farah frequently shares her affection for Tom on his social media platforms. In August 2020, he posted a behind-the-scenes moment from “Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning,” and she expressed her “eternal gratitude” to him for going shirtless.
She commented, “Thank you for removing your shirt for us!! Eternally grateful TOMMMMM.”
As for Digger, the film is set to hit theaters on October 2. Tom plays the role of Digger Rockwell. While the storyline remains largely undisclosed, Warner Bros. has provided a brief synopsis, describing Cruise’s character as “the most powerful man in the world” who embarks on a desperate mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before a disaster he has triggered leads to total destruction, according to reports from variety.com.
The cast includes notable actors Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde, Riz Ahmed, and Emma D’Arcy. Digger marks Tom’s first film following his deal to develop and produce theatrical films with Warner Bros. Discovery in January, with his last collaboration with the studio being “Edge of Tomorrow” a decade ago.
Shot in the U.K. over six months, Digger is Iñárritu’s first English-language project since “The Revenant.” The film will be produced and directed by Inarritu, who co-wrote the script in 2023 with “Birdman” co-writers Nicolas Giacobone and Alexander Dinelaris, along with Sabina Berman. Tom Cruise and Iñárritu are the producers of Digger.
