Mumbai, March 4 (NationPress) Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan disclosed that she maintains a stricter approach with her son Czar, often finding herself needing to provide more explanations than for her daughters, Anya and Diva.
During a conversation with actress Rubina Dilaik, who appeared on her YouTube show, the two discussed their experiences as mothers.
Farah, who married Shirish Kunder in 2004, the editor of her directorial debut Main Hoon Na featuring Shah Rukh Khan, has collaborated with him on various films like Jaan-E-Mann, Om Shanti Om, and Tees Maar Khan. In 2008, she welcomed her triplets—Czar, Diva, and Anya—through in vitro fertilization.
Farah mentioned to Rubina: “My three children will be heading to college next year. Fortunately, they are quite studious, despite being 17 but acting like they are 12.”
She further added, “They celebrated their birthday recently and preferred a family dinner over clubbing.”
Farah also noted that her daughters have yet to visit a club.
“They haven’t worn makeup yet, nor have they shaped their eyebrows as they are focused on their studies,” she explained.
Rubina, a first-time mother to twins Jeeva and Edhaa, inquired if Farah had intentionally limited their exposure, to which she replied: “Not really. I’m a strict mom. They can’t go out without me knowing where they are.”
“In the evenings, we have a gossip chat… This helps me stay updated on their lives. I am strict, but I am also a fun mom,” she shared.
However, she acknowledged being more stringent with her son.
“I am more strict with my son. I find myself explaining things to him more than I do to the girls.”
She explained that she teaches her son “how to engage with girls, the language he should avoid, and how his friends should respect his sisters. If they talk about girls inappropriately, he is not to participate.”
