Chennai, Nov 14 (NationPress) The concluding phase of director Sasi's much-anticipated film, Nooru Saami, starring the talented actor and music composer Vijay Antony, is presently in progress.
Vijay Antony recently shared an update about the film by posting a snapshot of himself on the film's set via X. The image showcased him seated in what seemed to be a sugarcane field.
The actor, who is also a music director and producer, captioned the post, "#NooruSaami Final Schedule" with a smiley face.
Earlier, director Sasi revealed in an exclusive interview with IANS that his film, following the immense success of the blockbuster Pichaikkaran, will draw inspiration from real-life events.
For context, Sasi's prior film, Pichaikkaran, which starred Vijay Antony, was not only a commercial triumph but also garnered cult status. The plot revolved around a wealthy businessman who, in a desperate move to save his mother's life, disguises himself as a beggar and seeks alms for 48 days as part of a vow made to God. This real-life inspired narrative resonated with audiences far beyond Tamil Nadu.
Director Sasi confirmed to IANS that Nooru Saami (Hundred Gods), intriguingly named after a popular track from Pichaikkaran, will explore the relationship between a mother and her son, also based on true events.

He stated, "In 2006, Vijay Antony was the music director for Dishyum. In 2016, he starred in Pichaikkaran. Now, we are embarking on another journey together."
Sasi further revealed that this upcoming project holds a special place in his heart and will feature two prominent male leads.
"One of these roles will be portrayed by Vijay Antony, while the other will be played by Ajay Dhishan, who is Vijay Antony's nephew. I recall Ajay as a child during the filming of Dishyum. He's now stepping into the spotlight as a young hero," Sasi added.
