Hailey Bieber Reveals Medical Condition Increasing Miscarriage Risk
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, March 4 (NationPress) In a candid revelation, Hailey Bieber, known for being the spouse of musician Justin Bieber, discussed her challenging medical diagnosis that posed a significant risk during her pregnancy with their son, Jack Blues.
During her appearance on the SHE MD podcast, the 29-year-old shared insights about her path to motherhood with her now 16-month-old son, whom she has with her husband, Justin Bieber, aged 32, according to a report by ‘People’ magazine.
In a pivotal moment, podcast co-host Mary Alice Haney queried Hailey about whether she was actively trying to conceive or if her pregnancy came as a surprise. It turned out to be unexpected. Hailey recounted how her OB/GYN, Doctor Thaïs Aliabadi, had previously cautioned her, saying, “Don’t get pregnant,” before inviting Hailey to elaborate on her condition.
Hailey explained, “I had a septum in my uterus, and Dr. A kept emphasizing that we needed to monitor it before I got pregnant because it could possibly cause complications.” She recalled the uncertainty surrounding her situation, mentioning that surgery might be required. “I thought, ‘Well, I’m not planning to get pregnant anytime soon, so we’ll deal with that later.’ And then, unexpectedly, I became pregnant.”
When she broke the news to her doctor, Aliabadi humorously expressed disbelief, saying, “I’m pregnant!”
According to ‘People’, Haney then asked Aliabadi to clarify what a uterine septum is and its associated risks. “A uterine septum is a genetic condition we are born with. Imagine a typical uterus but with a thin wall protruding into the cavity,” Aliabadi explained. “The severity can vary; we classify it as mild, moderate, or severe based on ultrasound measurements.”
