Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 24 (NationPress) Renowned music composer Himesh Reshammiya has expressed that his latest song ‘Chand Dekh Lena’ from the forthcoming Salman Khan film ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ encapsulates the profound ache of separation between two lovers.
The song's video features Salman Khan alongside Chitrangada Singh, portraying an emotional story that resonates with the film's central themes of love, separation, and yearning. The visuals depict Chitrangada’s character patiently waiting for her husband, portrayed by Salman, who is returning home after serving at the border, illustrating the quiet resilience of families supporting those who protect the nation.
Reflecting on the song's creation, Himesh stated, “This composition aimed to embody the sorrow of distance between lovers. The lyrics by Sameer Anjaan vividly express pain, while the melody remains catchy and appealing. It underwent extensive reworking and commitment. Although I have created several songs for Salman before, this one possesses a distinctive quality as it connects deeply with listeners everywhere.”
The song poignantly conveys the emotional reality of love strained by a soldier's duty.
‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ is produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, with Apoorva Lakhia as the director.
Previously, Salman shared a behind-the-scenes image from the sets of ‘Maatrubhumi’. The image captures the actor peeking through a clapperboard, depicting his 86th scene's close-up shot. Salman is seen in military attire, complete with a jacket displaying insignia, reflecting the character's experience during the Galwan stand-off from 2020-2021.
This military attire was updated from the now-outdated Personal Camouflage Disruptive Pattern Material (PC DPM) to the New Battle Dress Uniform (NBDU) introduced on January 15, 2022, during the 74th Army Day Parade in New Delhi.
The new uniform pattern was designed in collaboration with NIFT and features a wound on the actor’s face. The film intricately weaves a narrative around the Galwan stand-off that occurred on June 15, 2020, amid the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
