Mumbai, Dec 2 (NationPress) Bollywood's legendary star Jeetendra recently appeared on the Indian Idol stage for a memorable episode, reflecting on cherished memories and iconic melodies while honoring his profound friendship with the late superstar Dharmendra.

While discussing the experience, Jeetendra expressed, “Music has been a constant companion throughout my life. Every time I perform on the Indian Idol stage, I feel a strong connection to my past, recalling rehearsals, recordings, and the moments when a song conveyed deep emotions on screen.”

He continued, “Watching these contestants pursue their dreams with such passion brings me immense pride, proving that the future of Indian music is indeed in talented hands.”

Further elaborating on the special episode, he stated, “This episode was unique as it allowed me to revisit memories of Dharma ji, who remains beloved and remembered by all.” The Bollywood icon participated in the Indian Idol season 16 as part of the Yaadon Ki Baraat series.

A video shared by the host channel revealed contestants performing songs associated with Dharmendra as a heartfelt tribute to the late star. Judge and singer-rapper Badshah was seen emotional as the show celebrated Dharmendra's lasting legacy. Recently, he also paid homage to the late icon on the Indian Idol 16 set.

The passing of superstar Dharmendra on November 24 left the nation in shock. For those unaware, Jeetendra and Dharmendra collaborated on films such as The Burning Train, Dharam Veer, Dharma Karma, Kinara, and many others.

Reflecting on Jeetendra's career, it is evident that his journey is intertwined with the music that shaped an era of Hindi cinema. Known as the “Jumping Jack” due to his dynamic dance moves, he has delivered numerous hit songs that have become cultural landmarks, including “Mast Baharon Ka Mein Aashiq”, “Taki O Taki”, “Dhal Gaya Din”, “Naino Mein Sapna”, and others.
