Mumbai, Aug 20 (NationPress) Identifying himself as a “green crusader”, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has revealed that his connection with plants has instilled in him a sense of patience and kept him grounded.

In a conversation about how gardening and nature have influenced his mental and emotional health, Jackie expressed to IANS: “Being called a 'Plant Zaddy' is a badge of honour. Plants have taught me patience and kept me grounded.

“Plants make you a better person, bhidu. That's powerful, boss. My kids and I, we all share the same love for plants, and that's the best thing,” mentioned the actor, who serves as the brand ambassador for Ugaoo, a gardening company.

Reflecting on his long-standing passion for horticulture, he stated: “I've been a green crusader for years, with plants around me and mitti on my hands. I walk into events with a sapling as my plus one.”

He is now an advocate for organic practices. “On my farm, I'm dedicated to farming and striving to be as organic as possible. It’s about eating clean, living close to the mitti, and respecting our roots. Ugaoo is doing something remarkable: they’re not just selling plants, they’re educating you on the why and how… They’re spreading knowledge, making our collaboration feel right. Plants are life enhancers, not merely decor,” the Bollywood star told IANS.

On the cinematic front, Jackie’s recent project is “Hunter 2,” where he takes on the role of the antagonist, 'The Salesman', in the second season of this action-packed drama.

In this series, the stakes escalate as Vikram receives a shocking call from his daughter, thought to be dead, only to find out she’s with the mysterious salesman.

Directed by Prince Dhiman, in partnership with Alok Batra, this action entertainer also features Anusha Dandekar and Barkha Bisht in pivotal roles, among others.
