Jennifer Lopez has opened up about the discipline behind her much-talked-about bikini scene in the upcoming romantic comedy 'Office Romance', telling reporters that consistent gym sessions and clean eating were central to her on-screen readiness. The 56-year-old actress-singer stars opposite Brett Goldstein in the Ol Parker-directed film.

What Lopez said about her prep

Speaking to Extra, Lopez explained that knowing a scene will land on the big screen demands a sustained routine. “You know that you're gonna be on screen. You gotta be prepared, in the gym and eating right. It's about eating healthy and eating the right things and working out and being consistent. I say these things all the time,” she said.

Brett Goldstein admits to nerves

Goldstein, 45, best known for his role as Roy Kent in the Apple TV+ hit Ted Lasso, also bares skin in the film and admitted feeling the heat of sharing the frame with Lopez. Asked whether he felt pressure, Goldstein candidly replied, “Of course I f** did … I'm doing a scene with this one.”

'On the Floor' finds a new generation

Beyond the film, Lopez reportedly celebrated a fresh viral moment for her 2011 chart-topper 'On the Floor', after the song and a recreation of her iconic green Grammys dress appeared on a recent episode of the romantic-drama series 'Off Campus'. Actress Mika Abdalla wore the dress and danced to the track on the show.

“I was blown away, I was. It was fantastic. First of all, I just was enjoying the show, but then to see what happened with the song after that and how viral it went. And then we met up and did a TikTok together, which was so much fun. It's funny that a song that you made 15 years ago could go back into the charts. It's incredible,” Lopez said.

A wider point about music's second life

The singer added that the moment underlined how legacy catalogues are finding new audiences through TV and short-form video. “And it also says a lot about the music business, in a way, like how these songs that you made that you love can actually all of a sudden be introduced to a whole new generation in a different way. And it's fantastic. I loved it. I loved it, and I thought it was really clever the way they did it. I like the show a lot. I think it's kind of emotionally intelligent in a way, even though it's sexy and young and fun,” she said.
